To begin; Newton, Connecticut was and is a tragedy. There's no denying that fact, it hits home with anybody who hears about it. Another thing that can be said about the tragedy, really any tragedy, is that it is a highlighter on the pages of society. I don't mean to be insensitive, my apologies to the townspeople of Newtown and the victims' family. The truth is the truth. Unfortunately with this violent tragedy people lie about quotes, and discuss politics and regulations. I don't know about you but my facebook feed is abuzz with the words "Newtown Connecticut Tragedy" but the popular follow up to those three words is dusty rhetoric dredged back up from election season. Nobody liked it then and not only do people still not like it, now it is inappropriate. My only words to be associated with Newtown Connecticut are; I'm greatly sorry for your loss. A hard and bumpy road is ahead of your whole town and your neighbors want only to comfort you. My condolences.
On a lighter note, recently we've found out that 3 female Rebel pilots were left on the editing room floor. One of which apparently already has a back story in the fan fiction world, and she's not exactly a spring chicken.
But she could blast your face outta the sky. There's been speculation as to why they were left out, most believe because it would bother the sensibilities of the public to see women blasted into space-dust. Either way we're all hoping that there will be a stronger female presence in the new Disney-made Star Wars due out in the not-too-distant future. At least to those of us not stuck in the Angry Dome about the Star Wars universe having some additions.
In Celebrity Announcements, music producer deadmau5(aka Joel Zimmerman) proposed to his girlfriend Kat Von D. He did this to nobody's surpise over Twitter. He tweeted this picture with the message
"I can't wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?"
Congratulations to him and her, I hope their love lasts.
